Its coefficient of thermal expansion is highly compatible with concrete outer tanks, and the vacuum insulation design can effectively prevent BOG generation. Austenitic stainless steel (such as 304L) is mostly used for secondary barrier systems and requires ASTM A240 standard certification.

Selection needs to comprehensively consider NACE MR0175 requirements for sulfur corrosion resistance and ASME BPVC VIII-1 pressure vessel specifications.
