Process Principle and Flow
A nano-scale oxide film (0.5-2μm) is formed on the can sheet surface through chromate or phosphate chemical conversion treatment. The standard process includes four steps: degreasing → pickling → passivation liquid immersion (50-70℃/3-8min) → sealing and drying.

The passivation film can improve salt spray resistance by more than 300% while maintaining metal ductility. Compared to electroplating, energy consumption is reduced by 40%, and it complies with RoHS environmental standards.
Quality Control Key Points
It is necessary to test the film layers continuity (copper drop test ≤8 seconds) and adhesion (no peeling in tape test). A color difference ΔE≤1.5 is considered qualified. The passivation liquid should be replaced regularly to avoid Fe³⁺ contamination.
