Using Arrhenius accelerated experiments combined with finite element simulation, corrosion kinetics equations are established through weight loss method (accuracy ±0.1mg) and ultrasonic thickness measurement (resolution 0.01mm). The prediction error in typical industrial environments can be controlled within ±15%.
Service Life Extension Technologies
Gradient coatings (such as PTFE+Al₂O₃ composite layer) or cathodic protection (potential -0.85V to -1.2V) are recommended. Laboratory data shows that they can extend the service life by 3-5 times. Eddy current testing is required quarterly to calibrate the model.
