To obtain complex three-dimensional flow channels, 5-axis CNC milling is a crucial machining process that can complete the twisted blade surface in one setup, reducing clamping errors. Deep hole drilling and boring are commonly used in combination at the blade root to ensure the concentricity of the bolt holes and the center hole. If irregular grooves exist, wire EDM is used for precision finishing to avoid tool interference. After the hub is completed, the entire part needs to be balanced, using weight removal milling or welding compensation blocks to control the imbalance within the standard range. To improve fatigue resistance, shot peening or vibration aging can be selected, along with precision grinding and polishing to reduce surface roughness and eliminate micro-cracks. Finally, the impeller is assembled after non-destructive testing and corrosion-resistant coating treatment.
