Product details
Titanium-steel composite tubesheets are manufactured using explosive welding + rolling composite methods, with an interface shear strength ≥210MPa, and are suitable for chloride ion corrosive environments such as seawater desalination. The titanium layer thickness is typically 3-8mm, and 100% ultrasonic testing is required to ensure a bonding rate ≥98%.
Carbide step drills are used for tube hole machining, with cutting speeds controlled at 15-20m/min to avoid titanium layer peeling. Compared to pure titanium tubesheets, the cost is reduced by 40% while maintaining the same corrosion resistance.
When applying, titanium-steel transition joints (such as TiGr2/Q345R) need to be set, and argon arc welding (current 90-110A) is used to prevent interface oxidation. The design temperature should be ≤300℃ to avoid the risk of hydrogen embrittlement.
