Product details
Offshore exploration vessel hulls primarily use high-strength hull structural steel (such as AH/DH/EH grade) to ensure strength, toughness, and corrosion resistance in harsh sea conditions. Aluminum alloys are often used for superstructures to reduce weight. During processing, the steel needs to be leveled, sandblasted for pretreatment, and coated with shop primer for rust prevention. Core machining processes include CNC plasma/flame cutting for blanking, roll bending, line heating for forming complex curved surfaces, and extensive welding operations such as submerged arc welding and gas shielded welding. Strict quality control is required during processing. All materials must be certified and traceable, welding processes must be qualified, and critical welds must undergo non-destructive testing. At the same time, attention must be paid to precision management, deformation control, and corrosion protection throughout the process, avoiding galvanic corrosion caused by contact between dissimilar metals, and strictly managing hot work safety.
