Corrosion Resistance Requirements for Methanol Storage Tank Plate Materials:
Prioritize the use of 304L/316L austenitic stainless steel (Cr≥18%, Ni≥10%), or Q345R with a 3mm anti-corrosion coating. It is necessary to pass the methanol immersion test (40℃/90 days) with a corrosion rate <0.1mm/a, and avoid copper, zinc, and other catalytic impurity content >0.01%.
Process and Testing Standards:
Welding should use the TIG process (heat input ≤15kJ/cm), followed by pickling and passivation treatment. The plate material must undergo 100% PT testing (sensitivity level I), intergranular corrosion testing should be performed according to GB/T 4334-2020, and the yield strength must be ≥345MPa.
