6063 aluminum alloy uses magnesium and silicon (Mg/Si ≈ 1.73) as its main alloying elements, achieving a thermal conductivity of 200-220 W/(m·K), which is superior to most aluminum alloys (e.g., 6061 at only 180 W/(m·K)). Its density is only 2.69 g/cm³, and after T5/T6 heat treatment, the yield strength increases to 125-240 MPa, offering both lightweight and high rigidity. Extruded fin structures can increase the heat dissipation area by 40%, and the anodized film (HV ≥ 150) enhances corrosion resistance (salt spray test > 500 hours), making it widely used in LED and CPU heat sinks. Application Example: New energy vehicle LED headlights use 6063 heat sinks, achieving a light decay rate of <5% and a lifespan of over 100,000 hours under -40℃~120℃ operating conditions.
