Hastelloy C-276 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy widely used in harsh industrial environments such as the petrochemical industry due to its excellent corrosion resistance and high-temperature performance.

Hastelloy C-276 alloy steel union end disc valves (also known as high-performance butterfly valves or triple offset butterfly valves) are mainly used in the following fields and scenarios:

  1. Chemical Industry:
    • Used to handle highly corrosive chemicals, such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, acetic acid, chlorides, etc. Hastelloy C-276 has excellent resistance to oxidizing and reducing acids, as well as pitting and stress corrosion cracking caused by chlorides.
    • Commonly used for flow control in chemical reactors, piping systems, and storage tanks.
  2. Oil and Gas Industry:
    • In sour oil and gas environments (containing hydrogen sulfide, chlorides, etc.), Hastelloy C-276 butterfly valves are used to control the flow of gas or liquid in pipelines, especially in offshore drilling platforms or natural gas processing facilities.
