Product details

A gear is a mechanical component with a toothed rim, used to transmit power and motion. The basic structure of a gear mainly includes parts such as teeth, tooth tip, tooth root, tooth space, tooth surface, and gear body. The teeth are the most critical part of the gear, completing the transmission by meshing with the teeth of another gear. Gears can be classified into spur gears, bevel gears, worm gears, etc., according to their shape. Spur gears are commonly used for transmission between parallel shafts; bevel gears are used for transmission between intersecting shafts; worm gears are suitable for transmission between non-intersecting, non-parallel shafts. Gear materials are typically selected from alloy steel, cast steel, or carburized steel, and are heat-treated to improve their hardness and wear resistance. In design, parameters such as the number of teeth, module, and pressure angle must also be considered to ensure the smoothness and efficiency of the transmission. Overall, although the gear structure may seem simple, it is a key component in precision machinery, playing a decisive role in the performance and lifespan of the machine.
