Product details
Technical Specifications for Fire-Resistant Coatings on Pipe Trusses
According to GB14907-2018, fire-resistant coatings for pipe trusses should be selected based on their fire resistance rating: ultra-thin type (<3mm), thin type (3-7mm), or thick type (7-45mm). For a fire resistance rating of 2.5 hours, it is recommended to use a thick, non-intumescent coating with a minimum thickness of 15mm. It should be applied in multiple layers (2-8mm per coat) with an 8-hour interval between coats, and the ambient temperature should be ≥3°C.
Key Points for Construction and Acceptance
Before application, rust removal and anti-rust paint application are required. Spraying equipment should be used to ensure a uniform coating. For outdoor projects, outdoor fire-resistant coatings should be selected. Epoxy-based products are required for marine and petrochemical projects. During acceptance, the coating thickness, adhesion strength, and fire resistance performance must be tested to meet the requirements of GB51249-2017.
